Earning Your Private Pilot
Earning a Private Pilot certificate is the first major step to becoming a professional pilot. Ready to take this step? Click here to get started. If you’ve already achieved Private Pilot, congratulations! You’ve accomplished the first major milestone of your aviation journey and your adventure awaits.
Completing Your Interview
We’d love to meet you in person, but we can also complete your interview by Skype or over the phone. During this conversation, we’ll find out more about your aviation background, personality, career goals, and other important details that will help us to craft the best training experience for you during the coming months.
Completing the Application Form
We’ll need your contact information and a handful of documents to make your enrollment official through the FAA and the State of South Carolina. Please complete and sign our application form, and send scanned copies of it and the documents it mentions to to [email protected] If you’ve already begun Commercial training at another school and plan to transfer to USAeroFlight, you may not need to fill out this form. Please give us a call if you have any questions.
Reading and Signing the Student Handbook
In addition to learning about USAeroFlight’s policies and procedures, you’ll find out where we are located and what we’re all about as you read through the Student Handbook and Catalog. A commitment to safety and professionalism is essential to a positive learning environment, so we’ll ask you to sign saying you have read the Handbook and agree to abide by its guidelines.
Visiting Our School for Student Orientation
Student Orientation is when we’ll get the ball rolling on your training. You’ll meet our instructors and explore our facilities and fleet as you prepare to begin your flight lessons. Many students opt to complete Orientation on the day their first lesson is scheduled.
